Below you will find the mandatory dimensions for your boat name and registration numbers in Belgium. Our boat registration stickers are cut from high-quality polymer vinyl, fully waterproof and seaworthy, with a durability of 7–8 years outdoors.

For the Netherlands, different rules apply: the letters must be at least 15 cm high and 10 cm wide per character.

Small sailing vessels and jet skis

Small sailing vessels include pleasure craft without a motor, without a cabin, with sails, and a hull length of 6.5m or less.
1. Registration number: 10 cm high, on both sides or at the stern.

Registered for inland waters

Small vessel (less than 20m)
1. Vessel name: 10 cm high lettering on both sides;
2. Home port: 10 cm high lettering on both sides or at the stern;
3. Registration number:
– 10 cm high lettering on both sides at the bow or midship;
– 20 cm high lettering if maximum speed exceeds 20 km/h.

Large vessel (20m and over)
1. Vessel name: 20 cm high lettering on both sides and stern;
2. Home port: 15 cm high lettering on both sides or stern;
3. Country code: 15 cm high lettering on both sides or stern;
4. Unique European Ship Identification Number (ENI): 20 cm high lettering on both sides and stern;
5. Measurement mark: recommended height 10 cm, at the stern.

Registered for sea

Small vessel (less than 20m)
1. Vessel name: recommended 10 cm high, at the stern or both sides;
2. Home port: recommended 10 cm high, at the stern or both sides;
3. Registration number: 10 cm high, at midship or bow, both sides.

Large vessel (20m and over)
1. Vessel name: recommended 20 cm high, at the stern or both sides;
2. Home port: recommended 20 cm high, at the stern or both sides;
3. Registration number: 20 cm high, midship or bow, both sides.
