Total height of the vinyl letters:
We always refer to the total height of the decal set, so please consider whether you’re using lowercase and uppercase letters. The size you select is the overall height of the sticker. Depending on the font, not all characters are the same height, as shown in our example. When using lowercase letters, the ascenders and descenders (p, b, l, y, g, d, etc.) affect the total height. This also changes the overall length compared with using only capitals. Keep this in mind when designing your lettering.
Our painting stencil is cut from specialist stencil vinyl and used as a paint mask for lettering. We cut your design out of the stencil so you can apply it to the surface, paint, and remove the film cleanly. The low‑tack adhesive peels off easily after painting and leaves no residue. Every stencil is supplied pre‑spaced on transfer tape so you can apply it in one go.
Suitable for smooth, clean walls, wood, metal, glass, plastics and painted panels. Ideal for signs, boat names, house numbers, logos and decorative motifs.
How to use
- Clean and degrease the surface (dry, dust‑free).
- Position the stencil, tape a hinge, remove the backing and squeegee it down firmly, paying extra attention to the edges.
- Apply light coats of paint (acrylic/latex, enamel or 2K). Avoid flooding the edges.
- Peel the stencil while the last coat is still slightly wet for the sharpest lines.
